Anchored Tutorial
7th Grade - 12th Grade
Anchored Tutorial is a homeschool drop-off program for 7th-12th grade that meets on Tuesdays from August through April at Long Hollow Church. All students use the same curriculum. Teachers jump-start the learning week with vibrant, comprehensive, and hands-on lessons during our class time. All our High School teachers are certified in their subject area and background checked. Teachers assign 4 days of work for the week. The parent is the primary teacher, monitoring and assessing assignments, giving curriculum quizzes and tests at home. Tutorial meets 33 weeks of the year and provides approximately 165 days of homeschool work each school year. Teachers are available throughout the week to answer questions. Anchored Tutorial will offer a quarterly grade for your child based on what we see from our perspective. As the primary teacher, the parent assigns the final grade for their child through their umbrella school. Anchored Tutorial is not an umbrella school. Please see our handbook for more information.
There will be an application preceding registration. A registration link will be shared after an interview is held. Paid registration confirms a student’s spot in the Tutorial program.
Anchored Tutorial seeks to support homeschool families with students in Middle and High School by providing engaging and high-level educational experiences that complement, not replace, home-based instruction. We desire our students to have a Biblical Worldview, stand strongly and independently on their faith, and be prepared for a vibrant future following the will of God. At Anchored Tutorial, we strive to encourage positive socialization and fellowship among students in a Christ-centered learning environment.
Students are expected to maintain focus and actively participate in class activities. There will be limited social time during class, but students have recess and lunch to connect and engage more.
